Eucalyptus oil - simply breathe deeply and enjoy cool freshness.
Anyone who longs for relaxation and a clear head or simply wants to take a deep breath will appreciate BIO eucalyptus oil from Unimedica. Whether for massaging or in care products - the camphor-like top note provides a touch of intense freshness. Unimedica's organic eucalyptus oil is characterized by very high quality and purity.
The natural menthol scent pleasantly envelops and frees the senses. Just as the name eucalyptus, which comes from the Greek, with the meaning "the well-enveloped" suggests. The essential oil cineol, a monoterpene, is the main component of eucalyptus oil, through which it unfolds its liberating and cooling effect.
What is BIO eucalyptus oil from Unimedica made of?
BIO eucalyptus oil from Unimedica is a 100% natural essential oil.
The trees for it grow in Portugal at altitudes above 400 meters. There, the eucalyptus trees experience challenging weather conditions due to highly fluctuating temperatures between day and night. As a result, the Portuguese eucalyptus trees are hardy and produce particularly high concentrations of their valuable ingredients such as aromas, resins and terpenes.
From the leaves harvested by hand, the natural eucalyptus oil is obtained by gentle steam distillation. In this process, the eucalyptus leaves are distilled at low water pressure in a stainless steel pot. With this method, the valuable ingredients are largely retained in the distillate - the essential oil.

What actually is eucalyptus?
Eucalyptus belongs to the myrtle family. The tall, evergreen trees are originally native to Australia and Indonesia. Nowadays, eucalyptus trees are grown all over the world because they grow quickly and provide high-quality wood. There are more than 600 species of eucalyptus. Some of them are the sole food source of cuddly koalas. 50 of them are suitable for the extraction of essential oils. Both the bark and the leaves of eucalypts change with age. The bark renews annually. Leaves are leathery and lanceolate, and crescent or heart to ovate in older trees.
Extra tip for alternative use: Few drops of BIO Eucalyptus oil from Unimedica added to the water of a fragrance lamp or on a fragrance stone, it fills the room air with a fresh menthol breeze to breathe.
