What is so special about peppermint?
Peppermint belongs to the genus of mints. It is believed that peppermint was created rather accidentally by crossing other types of mint. There are numerous species of mint growing wild in Europe. Peppermint differs from other mints in its high menthol content and sharper taste, to which it owes its name. However, peppermint essential oil is not suitable for consumption, but only for external use!
