The quality of Allgäu organic ghee starts with the cows. The hay milk used for production comes from cows that are kept in organic farming in the Allgäu, i.e. the cattle graze on fresh, green grass and wild herbs and are not fed any yield-enhancing feed or genetically modified feed.

The summer butter used for production contains milk from grass-fed and pasture-raised cows - without any silage. Produced and bottled by hand in Germany according to Ayurvedic tradition, the Allgäu ghee meets the highest quality standards and is a natural treat. The ghee is also gluten-free and GMO-free.

What is ghee used for?

In Indian cuisine, ghee has a similar significance to olive oil in southern Europe. The fat supports the utilization of fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, E and K) in the body.

Ghee is used for frying, steaming, baking and for everything that is heated in the kitchen. For example, spices are roasted in it before they are used in dishes. Ghee is also a delicious alternative to butter on bread.
